Terms of Service
Last updated: May 25, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of pdf2api (the "Service"), a software product operated by Hedvion ("we", "us"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
pdf2api is a self-serve software tool that reads an API reference document you upload (for example a PDF) and automatically generates draft developer artifacts: an OpenAPI specification, a Postman collection, and client SDKs. The Service is software; it does not provide consulting, professional, or advisory services, and no human-delivered service is included.
2. Drafts are AI-generated — no warranty of accuracy
All output produced by the Service is generated automatically by AI models and is provided as a draft. Output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or fail to capture behaviour that cannot be expressed in the target format (for example custom encryption, signing, or authentication schemes). You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and testing any output before relying on it. We do not warrant that output is correct, complete, or fit for any purpose.
3. Your responsibilities
- You represent that you have the right to upload each document and to have it processed, and that doing so does not violate any law, contract, confidentiality obligation, or third-party right.
- You will not use the Service to process unlawful, infringing, or malicious content, or in any way that violates applicable law.
- You will not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the Service.
4. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to the documents you upload and to the artifacts generated from them. We claim no ownership of your content or output. You grant us a limited, temporary licence to process your uploaded document solely to provide the Service to you. The Service software, branding, and underlying technology remain our property.
5. Payments
Previewing a document is free. Exporting the full set of artifacts is a paid, per-document purchase. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, who acts as merchant of record and whose terms also apply to the transaction. Prices are shown before purchase and may change for future purchases.
6. Refunds
Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service and all output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or any output. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
10. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; the "last updated" date reflects the current version, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
